Most people dread going to the dentist, but Matthew was smitten at his first dental appointment with Sarah. She was charming and lovely, and soon Matt was thinking up reasons to make another dental appointment in order to see her. The feelings were mutual, and after awhile, Sarah and Matt figured out how to become more than just doctor and patient. Sarah calls Matt her missing puzzle piece, and says he changed her life forever when he proposed with 96 roses and dozens of heartfelt notes spread through her Downtown Frederick apartment building. In January, Sarah and Matt officially became husband and wife, following an elegant ceremony at Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant in Frederick.
Sarah started the morning at her brother’s home, getting gorgeous with her sisters, nieces, other relatives and friends.
We love that Sarah chose to wear white sparkly TOMS shoes under her stunning gown. Stylish comfort, all the way.
Meanwhile, over at Matt’s house, he and the boys were busy studying the old iPad, choosing the best way to fold their handkerchiefs into their chest pockets…
… and checking out old photos from years gone by.
Sarah found the perfect card for Matt, her missing puzzle piece.
Dutch’s Daughter was perfectly cozy on the windy, chilly January afternoon.
Gorgeous flowers provided by En Masse in Downtown Frederick.
Nothing like sister love!
One of the most original and fun wedding “cakes” we’ve ever seen! Krispy Kreme for the win.
A special thanks goes out to The Dapper DJs, who not only connected us with Sarah and Matt, but also kept the guests dancing all afternoon with great old-fashioned and modern tunes.
Following a seriously tasty brunch, we sneaked away with Sarah and Matt to Downtown Frederick for some newlywed portraits…
First stop was Baker Park, which obliged us with some leftover snow as a backdrop.
Our final stop was Church Street, where Sarah and Matt live. A few portraits outside their home, and then, a quick goodbye.
Congratulations, Sarah and Matt, and best wishes for an amazing life together!
