We first met Allison and Jay in April 2013, when Jay stood alongside his best friend, Robert, as he was married to Laura at Stone Manor Country Club. (See some highlights from Laura and Robert’s wedding below, and here: Laura and Robert’s wedding day.) Needless to say, we were thrilled when Allison and Jay contacted us and told us they were getting married this fall at Circle D Farm in Woodbine. We couldn’t wait to see them again, and capture the start of their married life!
Here’s Jay and Allison on the day we first met them, enjoying Laura and Robert’s reception! A few months later, we got together with Allison and Jay for their own engagement session at Sugarloaf Mountain.
Then it was time for their wedding day in early October of this year. First, the ladies from Stylist to Go helped Allison, the bridesmaids, and the moms with hair and makeup.
We were so excited to see Allison’s choice in wedding day footwear! (Molly owns the exact same pair of TOMS.)
Allison and her mom were all smiles all day.
While the ladies were prepping upstairs, the guys were busy downstairs drinking some beers and straightening some ties…
Jay’s mom couldn’t keep a straight face while pinning on the guys’ flowers.
Allison and Jay opted for a “first look” experience before the ceremony. Here, Jay is waiting patiently for his bride.
Getting some private time together before the ceremony was awesome for Allison and Jay. It helped them relax and get some great portraits before all the activities of the day got started.
Allison’s mother’s friend created the lovely floral arrangements, via her business Chaux Blossom.
Here’s Allison with her best friend and maid of honor, Molly.
And here’s Jay and Robert, on each other’s wedding days.
We love this great group of ladies — two of whom are named Molly! And one of whom will be a bride we photograph in 2015, Jay’s sister, Ashley (on the left)!
What a great moment from the middle of the ceremony.
After we took advantage of the glorious light post-ceremony with portrait-taking, it was time to party at the reception!
It’s so awesome when place cards are tasty as well as being useful. These yummy marshmallow pops were created by Allison’s friend.
We’re huge fans of the stand that held the cake from Custom Cake Design — rustic yet beautiful!
The reception wouldn’t be complete without our Silly Station photo booth! So many fun photos resulted…
We couldn’t pass up a chance for David to jump in a photo with two couples he’s photographed! Robert and Laura and Allison and Jay! Here’s Robert and Laura from their wedding day, 18 months prior.
And now, back to the party, with dancing courtesy of the sounds of Bryan George Music Services.
Congratulations, Allison and Jay, and best wishes for many more years of happiness together! Thanks for including us in your celebration.
