Megan and Brady started out as friends, and eventually, they became a couple. On a getaway to the Florida Keys Brady hid an engagement ring inside a shell on a secluded beach and almost forgot to ask Megan the all-important question in all the excitement. But she knew what he was asking anyway, and he knew she would say yes. They married on a cool, somewhat rainy day in early October in Thurmont’s Catcoctin Mountains, at the beautiful, serene ThorpeWood.

Gotta love a girl who gets married in a pair of TOMS!

Bright, cheery florals were created by Monica’s Floral Designs.

Megan and Brady planned a first look so they could share a special moment together before the ceremony.

Brady’s grandfather, known as Popeye, is just about to celebrate his 90th birthday!

The weather was just a bit too damp and cold to do an outdoor ceremony as planned, so everyone got cozy inside next to ThorpeWood’s amazing fireplace.

Don’t worry folks, this headlock is all about sisterly love.

While photos were happening outside, guests were busy inside chatting, drinking, and eating!

To kick off the reception, Megan’s dad delivered a hilarious speech, complete with phony calls from his mobile phone.

Megan’s sister’s speech was tear- and headlock-inducing.

In addition to inventive, delicious food, Canapés Catering also made the cake and cupcakes.

Lots of Virginia Tech alums in the house!

When it was time to head to the dance floor downstairs, Tyler of Frederick DJ got the tunes going.

Guests also took advantage of our Silly Station photo booth all night long…

Another major highlight of the evening was a jam session, led by Brady.

A night in the mountains isn’t complete without a campfire!

Congratulations, Megan and Brady! Best wishes for many years of happiness together.
