Erica and John were married on a bright, sunny day in May, at the charming Olde Breton Inn, a historic inn overlooking Breton Bay and the Potomac River, in Leonardtown, Maryland. We were especially excited to see Erica again, after we photographed her as a bridesmaid at Hillary and Mike’s wedding at Springfield Manor last July. (See Erica in blue and Hillary in white below.)

On May 2nd, it was Erica’s turn to be the stunning bride…

Erica created so many great touches throughout the celebration, like the sailboat “place cards” above. Fabric on the mother of the bride’s sail came from her own mother’s wedding dress; and the father of the bride’s sail fabric came from his father’s tie.

Erica’s mom, Birdie, is the reigning St. Mary’s County Grand Champion for jams and jellies. The favors given to guests are the bride’s two favorite flavors of her mom’s winning creations.

All the kids were so excited to see Erica arrive at the inn, wearing a veil she borrowed from her cousin, who was also recently married.

We love this “something blue” sewn into the skirt of Erica’s dress.

Cakes by Maureen created the lovely wedding cake.

The beautiful dish for the ring bearer to carry was created by Erica’s cousin, Brendan.

Many thanks to our second shooter for the day, Allison Harbaugh, for capturing great images, like this one!

Napkin dancing commenced, thanks to Michael Rudinski of DJ Entertainment with Class.

Congratulations, Erica & John! Thank you for allowing us to capture your beautiful day, and many wishes for a long, happy marriage!
