Springfield Manor | Thurmont, Maryland | Wedding | Barbry & Rob

Wine plays a significant role in the love story of Barbry and Rob. They met when Rob stopped by a Downtown Frederick winery one day with some coworkers for happy hour, and Barbry was behind the bar. They quickly hit it off and met again for drinks later that day, spending several hours getting to know each other. After dating for several years, Rob had a surprise for Barbry. He had been sneaking up to Philadelphia to work on designing an engagement ring, and surprised her with it just before they were to attend a special dinner featuring vintage wines. Their engagement session and their wedding day both included wine-related details (as you’ll see below)! And their reception was the first held at Springfield Manor Winery & Distillery in Thurmont (more on that below)…

April showers certainly brought some lovely April flowers as well! We love spring in Frederick.

A short ride up U.S. Route 15 led us to the brand-new venue, Springfield Manor in Thurmont. Barbry and Rob’s wedding reception was the first held at the stunning manor house!

We couldn’t get over the awesome chandeliers at Springfield Manor! They’re made of wine glasses – just perfect for Barbry and Rob.
