From the moment we first met Katelin and Matt, we knew we wanted to work with them. Was it their lovely personalities? Sure, that was part of it. The fact that they are both native Pennsylvanians and Matt graduated from Penn State? Of course! (WE ARE!!) But the thing that really sold us? They named their dog Obi. Fellow “Star Wars” obsessives? We were hooked.

Here’s Obi! He joined us for the first part of his parents’ engagement session.

Matt involved Obi in his proposal plan. After a romantic time washing their dog together, Matt hid Katelin’s ring underneath a stack of towels they were going to use to dry Obi off. She found it, he dropped to one knee, and the rest is history.

After spending some time near their new home with Obi, we moved on without him to Gathland State Park, a perfect spot for beautiful autumnal backdrops!

Matt and Katelin first met when they worked at the same bank in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania (not far from where Molly grew up). They followed each other to Frederick, where they now both still work in the financial industry.

These two make each other smile. A lot.

Our last stop before the sun set was the park’s famous War Correspondents Arch, erected in 1896, and now a National Historic Monument.

We cannot wait to witness these two say “I do” next November at Ostertag Vistas in Myersville!
