engaged: laurie and chris

my second engagement session in ellicott city in as many months turned out just as fun. the historic parts of town are filled with little nooks perfect for photographing. in just a half-mile of streets and alleys, there are so many looks available! it’s a perfect place for an adventurous couple who wants to have fun on their engagement shoot!

laurie and chris fit the bill! they are both extremely sweet and have an awesome relationship. having grown up in the area, they both love the old town and were excited to shoot there.

laurie and chris are getting married in october at baltimore’s gramercy mansion. it’s gonna be an amazing time! you two rock!

we started off in the batskellar at the ellicott mills brewing company, at the exact spot where they first met. love it!

then we hit the town! what a perfect day for walking.

the tourists and shoppers were out in force on sunday, but no worries! i like having folks walk through my frame, it sometimes helps define the shot.

after a quick outfit change, we headed for the trails on the other side of the patapsco river.

this is so them … rocking out on the rocks as i moved along the bank to a new shooting position!

i did a little squeal after seeing this image on the back of the camera and laurie thought something awful had happened to my gear. nope, just really excited for the awesome images i got of you two!

so old school, but i like it. nice framing and they are both being themselves. lovely.
