We first got Katie and Jeff in front of our cameras last fall, during a beautiful engagement session in and around Thurmont, taking advantage of the stunning autumn colors at Cunningham Falls State Park. We actually began the session at Springfield Manor Winery and Distillery, where they planned to marry the following August…
The months flew by and before we knew it, it was wedding day! A gorgeous, sunny Saturday in mid-August greeted us as we arrived for getting ready photos at the Courtyard Marriott in Frederick, and then on to Thurmont.

Bridal Beauty Associates were on location to help Katie and her girls with hair and makeup.

Then it was time for the short drive to Springfield Manor!

The guys were already there, playing some ball and hanging out on the lawn.

Jeff’s tie clip held special meaning. He wore it in memory of a dear friend who would have served as a groomsman, but had passed away.

Katie chose the stunning “Persiphone” gown from WTOO by Watters, and her huge, amazing bouquet (with succulents!) was created by Sweet Blossoms.

Katie’s bridesmaids got a “first look” of the bride in her dress.

Then it was time for Jeff to get a first look, too!

After some portraits on the Springfield Manor grounds, we headed inside to check out all of the amazing décor, created by Karey Howes of Dirt Road Design.

Stephanie Moran of Six-Twenty Events helped coordinate all of the details for the big day.

Guests took home lovely stemless wine glasses as a thank-you gift from the couple.

The menu at each setting included the guest’s name and meal selection. Kids’ menus featured special graphics just for them, too.

The cakes, created by Karen Rodkey Cakes, were extremely intricate and drop-dead gorgeous!

Jeff and his mom were ready to head down the aisle…

Katie’s uncle helped them say their vows and declared them husband and wife!

Back inside, it was time for a big cheers!

A few signatures made it all official.

We spent part of the cocktail hour making portraits around the manor’s grounds.

Meanwhile, guests enjoyed some snacks and drinks, and each other’s company.

When it was time to begin the reception and announce the newlyweds, the crowd went wild!

Some touching toasts were followed by dances with the parents.

Great Scott Productions kept guests on their feet, dancing all night long.

Once again, we pulled out the Pixelstick for a final nighttime light-painted image. Congratulations, Katie and Jeff, and best wishes for many years of happiness!
