Annapolis Maritime Museum | Wedding | Annapolis, Maryland | Jackie & Matt

We first met Jackie and Matt on a super hot day in Washington, DC last July, at the wedding of their good friends, Rachael and Joe (check out Jackie as a bridesmaid!). We were so excited when they contacted us about their own wedding, to take place in Annapolis just about one year later. Festivities began on a Friday afternoon, when Matt and Jackie boarded the Annapolis Circulator trolley with both their sets of parents, to “get official” during a courthouse ceremony.

The chapel was quite lovely, and the ceremony was just perfect for Matt and Jackie, with their parents along for love and support.

Officially husband and wife!

The next day, everyone was ready for a major fiesta … especially our new friend, Oscar, who greeted us at the door and couldn’t get enough love from everyone who stopped by the house.

Everyone got ready at the house, shared some beers, took some photos, and then it was time to head to the city dock in downtown Annapolis to board a chartered boat to the Annapolis Maritime Museum!

Oscar wouldn’t let us leave without getting a pic of the new family all together on their front stoop!

Just a stroll through the city with some of the best-looking folks in Annapolis!

After a quick detour with just Jackie and Matt, we met back up with the rest of the wedding party… to find all of them huddled in a little ATM booth to beat the heat!

The guests were waiting as Jackie and Matt and their wedding party pulled up in the boat.

The newlyweds!

The best way to kick off a fiesta is with a great mariachi band, and Mariachi Las Americas did not disappoint.

We love the style of this wedding party… floral dresses and plaid ties, flowers in the girls’ hair, and sunflower bouquets! Yes!

So many awesome details! Traditional “papel picado” banners were strung from the rafters, a Day of the Dead bride and groom piñata, and mini maracas for all the guests.

Hey, we know these two! One year of marriage looks good on you, Joe and Rachael!

A highlight of the evening was when a good friend of the bride and groom, a Spanish teacher, emceed the bashing of the piñata with special music. It was a little scary (blindfolded men, and ladies too, swinging bats!) but really funny, too.

And, of course, no party is complete without our silly station photo booth!

Crow Entertainment provided dancing tunes for the remainder of the evening. (Nice sombrero, Matt!)

And, as if the piñata was not enough, at the end of the night, cascarones were passed out to the guests, who proceeded to smash these hollowed-out eggs filled with confetti all over Matt and Jackie! Don’t worry, that was what was supposed to happen… it’s for good luck!

Matt and Jackie, congratulations, and thanks for an outstanding party! We’d fiesta with you anytime!
