We had been anticipating the wedding of Archie and Joan at the lovely Shade Trees and Evergreens event grounds for a while. These two lovebirds got to know each other while working out at the Hagerstown YMCA, and were planning an elegant, yet relaxed, wedding day, complete with family and friends, and a whole lot of fun details! What could be better?

Rooster Vane Gardens of Finksburg provided flowers.
Joan was all smiles while Linda Whittington of Creative Cuts styled her hair.
We loved the favors at this wedding, olive oil and vinegar from Lebherz Oil and Vinegar Emporium in Downtown Frederick!
Harpist Sally Lay’s wonderful music filled the air.
Archie proposed to Joan while on vacation in Florida. Joan was so surprised, the only thing she could say for a while was “Wow.” We say “Wow,” too, about these lovely custom rings designed by Yaneth Reyes, a Downtown Frederick jeweler.
Since this was a second marriage for both, Archie and Joan were eager to share in their commitment to joining together two histories, as well as two sets of friends and family.
