Keira and Ruth had mutual friends in college, but didn’t start dating until after graduation. After about 10 years together, living in different states and countries, they became each other’s family. Ruth set up a scavenger hunt ending with a carved pumpkin asking Keira, “Will You Marry Me,” and that made it official. We met up with them this past fall to capture some casual engagement images.
The two were wed at Caboose Farm in Sabillasville, Maryland, on a blustery November Saturday. The ceremony, under trees and next to a creek, was witnessed by overjoyed family and friends, who traveled on a tractor-drawn wagon to witness the love.

Keira had her vest custom-made in Washington, D.C., and it was just perfect!

Keira’s looking stylish, especially with that pocket square, made by her great-grandmother.

We planned a sweet first look on the lawn outside the reception venue.

Next, the families all gathered so portraits could be taken.

Soon, guests were boarding hayrides for a short trip into the woods to the ceremony site.

A small bar offered pre-ceremony cocktails and snacks.

The couple’s friends performed a meaningful ceremony.

The brides arrived at the same time, coming in from different sides with their dads and meeting in the middle.

Each of their brothers (the bridesmen) shared a reading.

Ruth’s got an amazing collection of leaves gathered up in the bottom of her dress.

There are so many spectacular locations around Caboose Farm to capture images.

Flowers came from Potomac Floral.

Following toasts, it was time for great dancing tunes, provided by Bruce Pike Productions.

This gorgeous (and delicious!) spread of food was created by caterer Monica Kelso.

Monica and her team also created a jaw-dropping “cake” out of blocks of cheese from Righteous Cheese.

When guests were really ready to let loose, they headed up to our Silly Station photo booth.

A few more photos, as the sun set on this amazing day. Congratulations to you both, Ruth and Keira, and thanks for allowing us to capture your wedding!
