Leann and Drew describe themselves as fun and nerdy. In fact, Drew first messaged Leann on an online dating site by saying “I think you may be out of my league, but I’d love to take you out for some nerdy discourse over a glass of wine.” They enjoy board games, travel, and spending time with their three pet cats, and love to cook, drink coffee and be with their friends. It only took two dates for them to know they were falling in love. While on a trip to Puerto Rico to celebrate Leann’s birthday, the couple received the sad news that a close friend of the family had passed away. The sad event inspired them to seize the day and choose love, and Drew pulled over their car and proposed marriage to Leann. Their wedding was held in August at Big Cork Vineyards in Rohrersville, Maryland.
Drew embroidered Leann’s handkerchief.
Leann gifted Drew a special bottle of whiskey, engraved with their wedding date.
The groom and groomsmen all donned nerdy cufflinks.
Everyone enjoyed the relaxation of getting ready at “the Big House” across the vineyard.
Leann’s bouquet was wrapped in a piece of her mother’s wedding veil.
The couple’s friend, Anne-Margaret, served as officiant. Drew had officiated at Anne-Margaret’s wedding, too.
Drew created these amazing light saber cake cutters.
